This being the second book of the Lost Lords series, there were many characters that had already been introduced in the first book who were a joy to visit again. Plus there were some fascinating new characters, most notably Damian Mackenzie, who I'm looking forward to reading more about in future novels.
Overall, I love the world that MJ Putney has created here. I enjoyed the pacing, and found the story's many events to be engaging and worth the read. I'm very much looking forward to the next book in the series to be published!
